How To Succeed In 2012!

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thuman
This year I finished my Vision Board a little later.  I am learning how to respect my own time and just now it came alive!   I am always perplexed and excited by the powerful learnings and insights I have during the creation of a Vision Board.
2011 was a year of intense training to build endurance and my entrepreneur identity. When I selected the words and pictures I put on my 2011 vision board, I had no idea what I was signing up for.  My intuition, however, knew exactly what I need to experience and to learn in the past year.

Reflecting now, I realized that in 2011, I accomplished the following:
1.  My life choices are reflections of an aligned inner world.  When I am making life choices that inspire me, that are meaningful and stimulate my creative mind, I am sure they are the right choices.  They are not necessarily easier choices, but they are definitely choices that resonate with my spirit, heart, mind and body. Thank you to Michele McHall for guiding me into “The Soul’s Dream, A Journey of Intention Transformation.”  This transformational journey was priceless!  As a result, I am now Fired Up about my own business and focused full-time on my business’ mission: Transforming Lives – Igniting Energy, Passion and Meaning.
2.  I use endurance to improve my results.  In 2011, my husband and I joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training (TNT) to help raise money for research into cures for blood cancers. We participated in an intense, five-month training regimen to get prepared for the 100-mile ride.  Every Saturday throughout the winter, we rode progressively longer distances around the greater San Francisco Bay Area.  On March 10th 2012, we crossed the finishing line accomplishing our first Century ride in Solvang!   My coach, Sue Blevins used to say, “After I am done training you, the Century ride will be a walk in the park.”  To my surprise, she was right!  I finished the Century feeling strong and full of energy.  It was like a walk in the park!  This accomplishment was a breakthrough experience for me.  My self-limiting beliefs of not being able to reach the end of the Century were blown away! I appreciate my coach and my husband for pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me to build endurance to attain amazing results.  This is an incredible skill that I am transferring to all aspects of my life. With the proper training and willingness to be out of my comfort zone, I can attain any results!
3.  I make recovery a priority.    In 2011, my husband and I realized a dream to visit my native country.  We enjoyed twenty days in paradise eating exotic and fresh food, visiting family and friends and enjoying our stay on an island in the South of Brazil.  My husband and I always had a hard time coordinating our vacation. We both have full-time jobs, four kids, sports and numerous obligations.  The reality was that our batteries were getting very weak and we no longer were able to enjoy the day-to-day because our energy tanks were beyond empty.  Committing to this vacation was not a simple task, but one of the most gratifying vacations we ever had.   As part of my TNT training, I also learned that recovery is essential to help reach your goals.  A car does not run without gas, and we can’t perform without replenishing our energy!
My intention and focus for 2011 was to create for myself and help guide others to sustain a magical and blissful life.  I can testify that I had a magical and blissful 2011 and that I have helped guide so many lives in the same direction.  Mission accomplished!  Now, I am heading to a new year with renewed intentions and vision!  My intention for 2012 is to accomplish my business’ mission: Transforming Lives – Igniting Energy, Passion and Meaning.

I strongly recommend that you create your vision board every year.  It is a powerful and creative process that reveals your intentions and creates a magnetic field to attract the life experiences and the results you envision.  If you are interested in creating your own vision board read the post called “The Power Of A Vision Board”.

My best wishes for another magical year!  Hope to see you along the way!
